De Zerbi Delivers Injury Boost Ahead of Crystal Palace Clash

Tottenham fans have been given some welcome team news ahead of Saturday's big Premier League meeting with Crystal Palace, with Roberto De Zerbi confirming a couple of returning faces.

Sports Mole reports that De Zerbi gave a "three-word" update specifically on James Maddison's fitness before the game (Sports Mole), while Spurs Web goes further, describing it as a "double injury boost" with the head coach revealing positive news on more than one player ahead of the weekend (Spurs Web).

Football.London backs this up, confirming that two stars are set to return from injury just as Spurs prepare to welcome Palace to north London (Football.London). That same piece notes the squad isn't fully healthy, though, listing as many as ten players in total who are set to miss the clash (Football.London).

There's context to the fixture too - Football.London highlights a hoodoo De Zerbi will be eager to end, referring to a "Tottenham curse" that Palace will be hoping doesn't rear its head again, with Spurs described as in good form heading into the match (Football.London). That piece also frames it as a Saturday night showdown at home (Football.London), while the other Football.London report adds that a win would make it three on the bounce for Tottenham (Football.London).

Taken together, the reports paint a largely positive picture for Spurs supporters: De Zerbi has better options to choose from than feared, even if the squad is still missing a notable number of players through injury. The sense from all the outlets is that Tottenham go into this one full of confidence, chasing a third straight win and looking to finally shake off their Palace bogey team tag.
